Hey Humanoids,
fall is here. It’s the time of year when things cool off outside and
really heat up in the ring. It’s one of my favorite times of the year
. . . Sonny and Shade seem to think that the whole world is out to get
them. Not really, only those of us in the Western Wrestling Association.
They say they’ll take on anybody and then complain about who they have
to face. With them it’s a no-brainer . . . All I’ve heard from
Little Joe C for month is is that he wants a match with Sonny. Now he
has his chance to win the world heavyweight championship. He’ll have a
very difficult time but I think he can beat the Bright one . . . The
feature of the month is on the Championship Committee. It implies that I
don’t get along with them. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I
just ignore them, it works fine. They keep fining me and I keep
contributing. This is why I had to have my salary increased, so that I
would have more money to pay their stupid fines.

The Championship Committee makes all of the major decisions in the Western Wrestling Association. When they say something, everyone is supposed to jump without asking "how high". There’s sometimes a big difference betwen reality and the way it’s supposed to work. The championship committee works behind the scenes as the governing body of the W.W.A. When things go wrong it is their responsibility to fix the problem. They say that they have an extremely difficult job to do but some have questioned if they even have any idea what they are doing. The championship committee is composed of four or six members. They work behind the scenes and their identy is not known. The committee was originally formed to determine who would get an opportunity to wrestle for the various championships. They determine this by what the contending wrestlers have done in the W.W.A. . . . and by picking favorites. They originally only had the power to make determinations in championship matches but this power-hungry group have decided that they can do this at any time or any place. The Master, who is not a member of the championship committee is present at all matches to keep order and make temporary decisions. He is supposed to always follow the orders of the committee in hiding but as everyone knows he usually doesn’t follow most of the things they say. He calls this the Jackass Clause ... because they are jackasses he can do what he wants. This is often a costly decision because he is always paying them fines. He refuses to tell anybody what he has on the committee that keeps him employed. |
It’s the crowd favorite Antonio Rodgriguez going against the Canadian turncoat Nick Thompson and the prize couldn’t be bigger. It’s for the U.S.A. title, that’s the United States championship. Antonio wants to win the championship and bring it back where it belongs, to the United States. Nick calls it a classic border battle featuring a respectable athlete representing Canada against an illegal Mexican who doesn’t deserve a chance. For the title, or in life. It must be those sunglasses that don’t allow him to see reality. Nick was originally from Minnesota but turned his back on his country and the fans and moved to what he calls "the great country of Canada where they know a great athlete and respect him." Antonio comes from California is a United States citizen and proud of it. He respects the U.S.A., the title he’s going after, the fans, and the opportunity to show his skills in the ring. There are many differences between them. Antonio is quiet and a crowd favorite. Nick is a loudmouth and his own favorite wrestler. Antonio is small and quick, Nick is big and sick . . . Little Joe C gets an opportunity for the world heavyweight championship and he tells us that he has never worked harder in his life in preparation for a match. He has spent many extra hours in the gym and he has been watching tape of Sonny and of his own matches. He says he’s ready . . . A triple threat match has the bad biker Ax going against Ty Cooper and Mr. Mahem. We are told that Mr. Mahem is not a cool, calm wrestler . . . In a major match featuring the martial arts, Shade mets the White Ninja. This match is for the honor of the orient with their countrymen watching this match from afar . . . E.V.I.L. has to defend their tag titles against three wrestlers but their manager Terrible Terri says there is no reason for them to be concerned. I’ll see you at ringside. |
